JK2015 Club report
The Club had a very good turn out for the JK2015, which was held in the Lake District over the Easter holidays. Over the four days of competition there were a few thousand photographs taken by official photographers. From these I have managed to extract quite a number of our Club members in action, which are shown below.

Club League 2014
The club league uses a formula to calculate positions taking into account a handicap, so that all age classes can compare themselves equally.

Peter Palmer Relay success
A Team of six POW Mid Wales Orienteers Juniors came second in the Norwich cup (for clubs <100 members) in the Peter Palmer Relay competition held at the Beacon Barracks, MOD Stafford on Sunday. Twenty five teams took part in the relay which started in darkness at 4.45am in the morning.

What is orienteering
Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises both the mind and the body. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are, as you can run, walk or jog the course and progress at your own pace.
