Inter-Counties Primary School Orienteering 16th June 2017
A big thankyou to Terry Smith, Bill Marlow and Katie Hamer and all who helped out at the Inter county schools orienteering competition at Hafren forest today. Well done to all those taking part and congratulations to Powys for winning the inter county shield this year and to the top three winning pairs coming form Crossgates, Guilsfield and Dyffryn T schools. Looking forward to next years event. Hope to see you at an MWOC event soon.
This year the event will be centred on Hafren Forest (Coedwig Hafren) at the Rhyd Y Benwch Car Park and Picnic Area (Grid Reference: SN 857869)
The event is for pupils in Years 5 & 6 who will compete on a Yellow course (Technical Difficulty 2) and pupils in Years 3 & 4 who will compete on a White course (Technical Difficulty 1).
Children will complete the course in teams of either 2 or 3. Competition will be between schools in Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Powys
Schools need to enter by Friday 9th June. Schools can bring more than one team if they wish. To enter please return spreadsheet to Bill.
