Veteran Home Internationals and Welsh Long Distance Championships Llynnoedd Teifi

WOA and MWOC invite you to a great weekend of orienteering at Llynnoedd Teifi in the Elenydd wilderness in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains. Llynoedd Teifi is an open moorland area with a myriad of small hills, lakes and crags. The Veteran Home Internationals Individual race will be on Saturday followed by the VHI Relay race on Sunday. The Welsh Long Distance Championships will follow the VHIs on the Saturday and competitors are welcome to spectate the exciting action of the VHI relays on the Sunday followed by the opportunity of a 60 minute score event. The event is open to all - those not taking part in the VHIs or the Welsh Championships can enter by course colour.

Fay Walsh is competing in the Senior Home Internationals this weekend

Good luck to Fay Walsh and all the athletes competing in the Senior Home Internationals organised by Yorkshire and Humberside OA and Airienteers on 19-20 September with the individual races alongside the Northern Championships at Monk’s Road, Settle (Malham Tarn to Arncliffe) and the relays on Hawkswick Clowder in Upper Wharfdale.

Carneddau

Our next club event will be held on Carneddau hill overlooking the road between Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells.
For those of you who have competed on the Carneddau before please note that the start and assembly will be at a different location than 2013. We are using the south east section of the map for Yellow, Orange and some of the L.Green and Blue courses. Assembly, start and finish will be adjacent to Cilberllan farm.

Megan Carter Davies competing in Junior World Orienteering Championships

Good luck to Megan Carter Davies and the rest of the British team competing in the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Norway this week. We will be watching ! - fantastic live results system on the JWOC 2015 website. The controls are all ready to go! - if only they were that easy to find!

We are getting closer to the first competition. Here are the controls you will find in the forest. All 250 were checked and all courses were punched yesterday :)
