POSTPONEMENT of Tomorrows event Sunday 15th November at Hafod due to Weather warnings!
Hi folks, as a result of the weather warnings for extremely heavy rain & gale winds over the next 24 hours, tomorrow's event (Sunday 15th November) has been postponed for safety reasons.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused, but the risks from flooding, landslip, water courses & falling branches need to be considered. The event will be rescheduled to hopefully provide a more pleasurably memorable occasion for all.
The meeting planned to discuss the club constitution and next years fixtures followed by soup and cake will still take place but at Kate's house in Llandre - Croesawdy SY245BZ 01970 820903 from 1pm on Sunday.

Fay Walsh is competing in the Senior Home Internationals this weekend
Good luck to Fay Walsh and all the athletes competing in the Senior Home Internationals organised by Yorkshire and Humberside OA and Airienteers on 19-20 September with the individual races alongside the Northern Championships at Monk’s Road, Settle (Malham Tarn to Arncliffe) and the relays on Hawkswick Clowder in Upper Wharfdale.

Megan Carter Davies competing in Junior World Orienteering Championships
Good luck to Megan Carter Davies and the rest of the British team competing in the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Norway this week. We will be watching ! - fantastic live results system on the JWOC 2015 website. The controls are all ready to go! - if only they were that easy to find!
We are getting closer to the first competition. Here are the controls you will find in the forest. All 250 were checked and all courses were punched yesterday :)

Clubnight Aberystwyth South Beach 25th June 5.30pm
Clubnight Thursday 25th June 2015 Meet at Aberystwyth South Beach near the Hut from 5.30pm A midsummer celebration and a chance to say farewell to Alex Kilcoyne who is moving to Sheffield. Orienteering style treasure hunt - photos and quiz questions to match up with control locations around the streets of Aberystwyth. Teams of at least two- Under 16s to be accompanied by over 18 - Score 45mins allowed to gain as many answers as possible - please be cautious with road crossings!. Followed by BBQ from 6.30ish on the beach bring your BBQs and food ! See you there!
