The inaugural Inter-County Primary Schools Championship took place at Y Plas, Machynlleth on Saturday 7th July.
This was on a Yellow Course (Technical Difficulty is 2); 1.180km in length, it is a flat area with no climb.
After a week on incessant wet weather it was a bonus to have dry and then sunny weather throughout the morning.
Whilst the numbers entered was a litle low, there was a very good standard and the competition was keenly fought. Hopefully numbers will increase next year so that it gets bigger and better.
Congratulations to William Thomas and Hari Rowe from Ceredigion on winning by just over a minute from Toby Missen and David Evans from Powys. The Team winners were Powys, well done to them. Full results can be viewed.
Many thanks to all the teachers and parents who gave of their time and who brought the children to the event. Thanks must go to all those that helped out on the day and to Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre, Y Plas, Machynlleth Football & Rugby Clubs for their co-operation.
