Allt y Crib Update 2013

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at Allt y Crib – starts between 10.30am and 11.15am courses close at 1.00pm sharp so we will be able to make it to the Rhydypennau Inn for lunch by 2.00pm! Hope you can join us in the pub for lunch and for our awards ceremony – or come along for a drink if you dont fancy a meal. The Rhydypennau Inn is about 5km south of Talybont at the north end of Bow Street opposite the garage.
We are parking along the forest track inside the forest and access is from the north. It will be signposted from the main A487 in the North of Talybont. (Turning opposite the church heading west) Travel along the road about 500m and then take the left turning onto the forest track into the woodland (SN649899) and follow it approx 1500m to registration. The start and finish will also be at the same location.
Please drive slowly and carefully as there will be some competitors crossing the track and running alongside some sections. Once past registration please park facing the way you have come on the righthandside of the track where there is space to allow another car to pass. The track is mostly wide and firm. Do not park on the lefthand (South/West) side of the track as this drops steeply to the river. After your run you can continue driving on and you will be able to turn easily in a large turning area. Please allow an extra 20 minutes from when you leave the main road in Talybont to ensure you are not late for the event as we are keen to finish by 1.00! The Rhydypennau Inn.
Dogs are very welcome at the event but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please be particularly considerate on the sections of the course in the fields as ewes in lamb are in the fields. Gates must be left as you find them. If the gates are closed you may climb over the gates or open and close them. Pleae do not climb over ANY fences unless at marked crossing points. There are numerous old mine workings across the site in the forest and fields. Please do not cross any fences or tape or be tempted to investigate !  Be aware that fences may have been damaged by a fallen tree. You are advised to carry a whistle. Remember its January and we have had some extreme weather of late so come prepared – the sections of the courses in the fields can be very exposed. Its a great site with lovely views over the Dyfi if you have time to take them in!
Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
