Christmas event

We would like to welcome you to a special Christmas event on Sunday 15th December at Aberystwyth University. Megan Carter-Davies has planned sprint events around the campus. There is a course suitable for under 16s that does not involve road crossings. Juniors are welcome to do a longer course if they are accompanied by an adult. Do come along and enjoy the delights of a sprint event – they are great fun as it is really a sprint with the mind as well as the feet – requiring quick decisions on route choice. You are also welcome to enjoy the courses at a more leisurely pace if you wish and explore the hidden corners of the campus! The event will be followed by a meal in Ta Med Da with presentation of the prizes for the Club League. Seasons Greetings to you all and we hope to see you on Sunday 15th December!

As well as enjoying a meal after your run you can view the new club kit design (see Image Gallery) and try on blank sample sizes from Trimtex (shirts - mens/ladies and trousers). I hope to have the confirmed prices available by 15 December so you can even place an order...maybe as late Xmas presents to ourselves!?

Meal at Ta Med Da

After the event there will be a meal at the Ta Med Da, a restaurant behind the porters' lodge at the main entrance.
There will be a choice of food and probably:
Carvery meat and 3 vegetables   £5.15p
Roast Turkey    "      "      "         £5.15p
Vegetarian       "       "      "         £4.25p

Apple pie and custard £1.90p
This stops serving at 2pm and BEWARE things might start to run out before then.

Ta Med Bach (in the same room) has drinks and snacks and serves longer into the afternoon:
Tea £1.30p
Americano coffee £2.20p
Other coffees, sandwiches snacks also available

Unfortunately the conservatory has just been re-organised and so this cannot be booked.

I have provisionally booked to reserve tables in the main dining hall.
I NEED TO KNOW NUMBERS BY TUESDAY. PLEASE LEFT ME KNOW IF DEFINITELY COMING, POSSIBLY COMING OR UNLIKELY TO COME.

I will then firm up table reservations with the Hospitality Services.

The food is all self service and there is NO NEED to inform me what you would like to eat on the day.

Many of the members feel that the club is in need of a new kit. Joe and Clive have kindly designed a new top and will bring a copy of this along for members to see at the meal.

Prizes will be awarded after the meal for the league placings.
