WMOA Event at Bury Ditches

MWOA invite you to a League Event at Bury Ditches on 6th November 2016

Venue:   Bury Ditches is an ancient hill fort located in the beautiful Shropshire Hills AONB.

Car Parking:  Parking will be in a field adjacent to the Public Car Parking area close to the summit of Sunny Hill.  

The Grid Ref is: SO333840 and the Postcode is SY7 8BD.

There will be a £1 charge for parking.  The event will be signposted from the village of Clunton on the B4368 and there are also Brown Tourist signs for the Hillfort.

Map:  Map is 1:10000 with 5mtr contours and updated in 2016. It is printed on waterproof paper with overprinted courses.

Terrain:  Forestry commission woodland over hilly terrain.

Courses: Brown, Blue, Green, Short Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow and White.

Entries:  Seniors £7. Juniors £3. Non BOF members £9

Registration:  Entries on the day only. 10am-12pm. Starts: 10:30am till 12:30pm. Courses close at 14:30pm.

Facilities:  A Portable toilet will be provided.

Sportident: Electronic punching will be used. Dibbers available to hire £1. Lost dibbers will be charged at £40.

Safety: Whistles must be carried. In case of bad weather cagoules may be compulsory. Competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. Please remember to download after your run, or you will be deemed as missing and a search will take place for you. Full leg cover should be worn.  

Dogs:  Although Bury Ditches itself is used by many dog walkers, you are parking on a sheep farm. If it is absolutely necessary to bring a dog it must be kept under the strictest of control.
