Full splits

This is a newly mapped area of grazed moorland, criss-crossed by distinct tracks, and featuring some industrial relics of early 19th century mining activity in the area. The western aspect of the mapped area falls away in a dramatic cliff of crags, creating the Bwlch, through which the westward mountain road gets its first view of the sea, and revealing the broad sweep of Cwm Ceulan. The terrain is quite run able, and should provide for some fast legs, although there is quite a bit of climbing, and some boggy areas.

Info for dog owners

There are grazing sheep on the land, so dogs will not be permitted on the courses, and dogs may be present in the car park area strictly on leads. There will possibly still be grazing cattle on the land, and the score format should allow competitors the option to avoid these if so wished, although they are quiet creatures and have not batted an eyelid at the planner running about.
