Our next event is at Aberedw Rocks, near to Builth Wells. There are 4 courses, from Yellow through to Blue. This is an area of open common land situated on a hill side, which runs south to north, mainly open terrain with numerous crags some very large. There are quite a few pathways, which act as good line features providing the Orienteer the ability to relocate (establish where they are on the map). The bracken is down, so it should be very runable and there are fantastic views across the Wye Valley & Black Mountains.
Other than the Yellow course all the other courses require some navigation through dead bracken, which can inflict bad scratches on the legs so it is strongly advised that leggings and maybe gaiters are worn for anyone doing any course other than the yellow.
